Novel Jack Automatic Hydraulic Jack with improved capacity, safety and efficiency for agricultural implements.

Partners

1) CIRI-MAM
The “Interdepartmental Centre for Industrial Research – Advanced Applications in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Technology CIRI-MAM” from the University of Bologna.
With CIRI-MAM we will collaborate in project activities focussing on testing Novel Jack with respect to strength, reliability and endurance and towards refining Novel Jack’s active and passive safety procedures.
CIRI-MAM have profound knowledge for advanced testing applications in mechanical engineering and materials technology, as well as extensive expertise in the development of safety monitoring systems for automated machines.
Our in-house test bench was developed in collaboration with CIRI-MAM; hence their input will be critical in analysing Novel Jack’s performance under static conditions.
In addition, our test-bench cannot account for dynamic load-testing conditions; hence during the project we will subcontract to CIRI-MAM the activities that relate with modifying our machine’s load cells to account for dynamic testing conditions, and the analysis of the results.

2) REI LAB
REI LAB which provides electronics and software development support to ensure compliance with the ISOBUS standard. which provides electronics and software development support to ensure compliance with the ISOBUS standard.
They will develop the ISOBUS-compliant electronics and drivers (software)
We expect that having REI’s Fondazione specialised laboratory to perform this work will greatly increase our chances of getting ISOBUS certification.
In addition, REI Lab is located geographically in the industrial area of Reggio Emilia which is less than 40 min drive from our facilities; this ensures a fast and effective collaboration.
